* layette set

Easy baby shower presents: waffle weave trimmed in tape.  I made a wide tape for the blanket, and a narrow tape for the burp clothes.  I always like working with geometrics because it takes all the guesswork out of cutting straight.  The original plan was to make a stuffed toy of some variety to go as well, but I ran out of time.  Maybe once the baby’s born.

    Beautiful! I might steal your idea–I was thinking of making a blanket set for a friend of mine and just doing blanket stitch around the edges, but this is much nicer.

    Just found your site again after a long hiatus from blog-reading. Don’t know if you remember me–I think you made one of my Blythe patterns a really long time ago :)
