I mentioned my great aunt’s linens as inspiration in my crochet edgings post, so I figured I should post some of them. There are a bunch more where these came from, including some awesome white ones that wouldn’t scan well. I’ve got some handkerchiefs:

This is from one of a few little sets that I think are meant for the back and arms of a couch. Several of them include embroidery as well as the crochet edging. The back of her embroidery is so neat it’s amazing.

I’d be thrilled to know someone related to me had these kind of skills! That must be where your craftiness comes from. I keep hoping the genes from my dressmaker aunt will start showing one of these days…!
Those are beautiful, I love old crafts!

it was Tine that did them. and her actual name was Christine, but she had a really funny first name that I forget.. I think it started with an E?

Could you scan the white edgings with a piece of non-white paper on top?

Yeah, I’ve done that before with a darker color piece of paper, if you look in my crochet archives. What I should’ve said was I’m too lazy to bother scanning the white ones, not that they would never scan.
Thanks Radha! We must figure out her first name. I bet it’s the best one.

Could you please let me know if you have the working instructions for the above vintage crochet patterns.

Nope, no patterns.
