* fused glass

Crafting’s been replaced this week with some end-of-semester teaching duties. I’ve got some stuff in the works once I’ve triaged it all. And then summer! Anyway, here’s some great fused glass folks to tide you over, the first two of whom I first saw on Crafters Coast to Coast.

Leah Bohannon was on just recently, and I love her color sense and simple geometrics. Like look how pretty this ashtray is.

Ann Hammer Glass, lovely dishes. This is the bowl she made on the show. The design is made by bending thin pieces of brown glass in a candle flame and fusing them to a base piece. Then it slumps into a mold. Oh, I want a kiln.

Everybody’s already seen Happy Owl Glassworks, but I can’t leave her out because I love her work so much. Her animals are so neat, and always changing. This otter’s at Plain Mabel.

And happy second birthday to craftlog. Maybe I could buy a pin as a present to it. Heh heh.

    I know - I love Happy Owl Glassworks. I have one of the deer pins, and I just sent a friend the otter, because her last name is Den Otter. It was too perfect not to get it for her!
