* calendar page
Posted on December 13th, 2006 by maitreya. Filed under Sewing/Fabric Crafts.
I finally finished my page for the calendar swap. I’ve gotten a bunch in the mail already, and people did some really nice things. For my page, I cut little 1 inch pinked squares of all my small prints. I, uh, have been on a bit of a fabric-shopping spree lately, so I had lots to choose from. Becket helped me arrange them on a piece of linen, which was a fun puzzle. Scanned it in, added the text, printed it back out. I’m pinking the edge of the paper to match the little squares, then they’re going in the mail. I really like how they turned out.

That is such a great idea! I am so NOT artistic with my hands, a frustration always. Now I get around some of that manual bumbling by doing things digitally, so I just love this.
My favorite medium is PhotoShop. Thank goodness for that program!
