* Kitty’s Oriental Craft Shop

Loobylu posted a while back about Kitty’s Oriental Craft Shop on eBay. Oh I like them so much. I’m told there’s a Japanese department store in New York called Kinokuniya (10 W 49th st), so I think I’ll try that out before spending outragous sums on eBay. The best thing about the listings is that she has scans of lots of pages from the books. Ideas galore!

  • This recipe with white beans is probably my favorite farro salad yet. The creamy beans play a huge role in that, along with the sweet tender leeks and fresh parsley. But it's the chunks of salty, citrusy preserved lemon, a condiment often used in Moroccan cooking, that really takes this salad to the next level.
