* urbanfusions pendant

Fused glass is one of those crafts that I’ve always wanted to try, but that requires too much overhead (anybody know of a DIY place in Seattle?)  So instead I content myself with resin and buy cool fused glass jewelry.  After seeing a post about urbanfusions at modish (with a coupon code!), I added another pendant to my collection.

    That’s a beautiful color!
    You might see if there are any paint-it-yourself pottery places near you. The one up here in Anacortes also does fused glass in their kilns. One more way for them to bring in income.

    If they don’t do it publicly I bet you could ask to rent kiln time.

    I think Pratt has a glass studio. http://www.pratt.org/
    Also I was walking around the north part of the U-District the other day and stumbled upon a jewelry studio, but I think they focus on metal, not glass. Looks really interesting though.

    I’ve always wanted to try resin, and I see more and more crafters using it. I love the glossy look and especially the ability to capture anything within that resin — oh the possibilities!

  • Some little stamps I carved earlier this year for a project that didn’t pan out. It’s time to scan them in and play around with them on the computer.
